So much for Labour’s propaganda trumpeting a New-Labour Renaissance! In this speech, I highlight the crime problem plaguing London and focus on a shocking knife-point burglary.
This clip was made before I was elected to the GLA. Since then, nothing has changed in Boris’s brave new London and the new Con-Lib coalition doesn’t appear to have any ideas to tackle the problem by introducing tough prison sentences. What’s more, there are plans afoot to make cuts in policing. Unfortunately, as usual, it’s the longsuffering public that have to pay the price for politicians’ inability to grasp the nettle.
