Video Diary: Richard Barnbrook joins the Police Parade
In this clip, I joined a march of 25, 000 police officers and PCSOs in January 2008. This was part of a national campaign, because the government had refused to backdate their pay increase.
All those who attended were either on annual leave or rest day. The atmosphere was very good natured and cordial, and was a fine opportunity for me to show the Party’s support for the excellent work that the police do. They are clearly undervalued. As you can see, I managed to get myself right at the front of the line!
